Thank you Anita. Sorry, its taken this long to reply. We are so lucky to benefit from all these tools. I’ve only just recovered from the conference which was superb. I’ve found Emma’s site and the info with examples are excellent. I have so much still to learn. Can’t wait for her new ‘how to’ book either. Wishing all the best and hope to see you again soon.

Love this post, Karen. When I went to the RNA Conference in Greenwich in 2010, I didn’t know anyone apart from my friend who was also on the NWS. When I went to the conference in 2014, I knew so many delegates because I’d met them online, then at RNA parties, or I was meeting them for the first time. And then, just knowing who the speakers were because I’d read their blogs, or found out about their books online made a difference too. Social media has certainly changed the writing experience. And psychic distance-there’s a great explanation on Emma’s Itch of Writing blog, that lady knows her stuff! I can’t wait for her ‘how to’ book on Historical Fiction, out in the autumn
